Job Description
Marucco, Stoddard, Ferenbach & Walsh seeks a full time Data Analyst at the Illinois Department of Education offices located at 100 N. Street, Springfield, IL 62777.
Duties include:
" Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve data and generate standard and ad-hoc reports.
" Perform routine data validation, cleansing, and preparation to support data accuracy and consistency.
" Follow established data governance, security, and access control policies when handling sensitive data.
" Work with existing data warehouse and data mart structures to support data processing and reporting needs.
" Develop reports using SSRS or similar reporting tools.
" Support development of geospatial or location-based reports and visualizations using ArcGIS or similar tools, as needed.
" Apply established data privacy standards, including handling of FERPA-protected data.
" Ensure reports and outputs align with applicable accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508 / WCAG).
" Assist in translating business requirements into technical data solutions
" Apply established methods to de-identify or anonymize datasets for reporting and analysis.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, and 4 years of experience administrating data systems in a large scale enterprise or regulated environment; or, in the alternative, a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, and 2 years of experience administrating data systems in a large scale enterprise or regulated environment.
Experience must include,
" 2 years of experience writing and executing SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting in a large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.
" 2 years of experience performing data validation and data quality checks on structured datasets.
" 2 years of experience developing reports using SSRS, or similar.
" 2 years of experience supporting geospatial or location-based reporting and visualization using ArcGIS or similar tools.
" 2 years of experience supporting reporting in environments with data privacy or regulatory requirements (e.g., FERPA).
" 2 years of experience developing accessible, Section 508/WCAG 2.2-compliant reports and data visualizations. Employee may work from home, and must report to the Springfield, IL client office three days per week. Job Location: Illinois Department of Education, 100 N.
