We are currently seeking to hire a high caliber Statistical Analyst to join our firm. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic profile, strong analytical skills, and a desire to make an impact. The Statistical Analyst will typically work on one to two projects at a time, as well as on internal Intellectual Capital development, and rapidly gain exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries. He/she will work with project teams and support the work of senior Statisticians and Econometricians at the firm. The Statistical Analyst will report to the firm's Intellectual Capital Director.
Core Responsibilities
Organize and execute statistical and econometric analyses
- Independently structure and execute analysis
- Synthesize findings and identify key insights from analysis and data
Facilitate and perform analysis on large datasets and databases
- Determine how to organize data for efficient analysis
- Execute the cleaning, pulling, reshaping, recoding, and organizing of data for efficient analysis
- Perform analysis to answer consulting team questions
Communicate findings to the consulting team and the client verbally and in writing
- Effectively participate in team and client discussions
- Create portions of overall documents outlining methodology and findings
Work effectively with project teams
- Complete deliverables on time
- Take initiative to follow new paths to further the client answer
- Proactively take on new assignments and responsibilities
- Guide and assist other Business Analysts as needed
Develop a solid understanding of The Cambridge Group's intellectual capital and proprietary methodologies in order to be able to contribute to their ongoing expansion and improvement
Promote firm development
- Support additional programs and special projects as determined by the firm's leadership team
- Participate in formal and informal training programs and firm-wide initiatives
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; economics or mathematics major strongly preferred
Prior work/internship experience required
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of and experience with applied econometrics and statistics through coursework and/or work experience
Experience with statistical software packages, e.g. SAS, Stata, SPSS
Experience with programming, e.g. in R, C++
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
