About the Business Line Water We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build. Job Description Resident Engineer General Duties: Manages project budget, schedule, staffing and scope. Monitors and documents conformance to quality, performance, safety and code requirements by overseeing field site activities on projects. Conducts on-site observations of work in progress to verify the procedures, materials and construction conform to specifications. Supervises and coordinates the efforts of inspectors and office engineers. Performs periodic audits of QA/QC programs. Performs field inspections, maintain inspection records, determine requirements for remedial corrective actions and implements, track and report AQ progress and identify issues. Prepare action plans for resolution of issues; prepare information for submittals, RFIs, and other technical documentation. Prepare packages of documentation for area/equipment turnovers. Interface with project management and client. Conduct regular project review sessions with appropriate personnel to monitor the continuing progress of the project. Review and approve contract submittal. Examine workmanship of finished installations for standard conformity and approve installation. Interpret plans and specifications for contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction materials and procedures with engineer of record or supervisor. Implement and follow project and company safety procedures.
