Job: Product Safety Manager

Posting Summary:

ACCO Brands Corporation, one of the world's largest suppliers of branded office products, with annual revenues of over $1.3 billion, is seeking a Product Safety Manager to oversee our regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Product Compliance is an emerging area in many companies as global regulations become more stringent and are demanded by consumers and customers. Learning about regulations and applying them to practical situations in corporations provides invaluable experience. By working in the regulatory product compliance area, you will continue to learn about manufacturing, materials and how to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Obtain certifications and or 3rd party documentation for all required products, manage global compliance database
* Validate accuracy and integrity of documentation for product substantiation
* Significant project/process managment
* Execute recall procedures for non-compliant products
* Potential travel to manfacturing sites

Posting Qualifications:

* Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar consumer products position (Compliance, QA/Engineering, Product Development)
* B.S. degree required, preferred in an applicable field (Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Business/Marketing)
* Experience with ad-hoc analytics & business intelligence projects as well as project/process management skills a must.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills required
* Knowledge of global requirements for chemical regulations and working knowledge of US product safety regulation a plus
* Experience with Ecological / Environmental product standards and green manufacturing / sustainability a plus
* Knowledge of product specifications, customer and consumer perspective a plus
