Position Description: AECOM Environment is seeking an entry level engineer to collect and interpret data collected during remedial investigations and assist with the design and installation of soil and groundwater remediation systems to new and existing customers on private initiative, retail petroleum and agency driven remediation projects. Responsibilities and Duties: * Assist with review of site assessment data to evaluate remedial options for impacted soil and groundwater and provide recommendations; * Assist with generation of specifications and design drawings for selected remedial alternatives; * Pr epare detailed cost estimates for installation, operation, maintenance, and/or decommissioning of remediation system components/systems; * Prepare as-built drawings for soil and groundwater remediation systems for inclusion into summary reports; * Develop understanding of State and Federal regulations influencing decisions to conduct remediation of soil and groundwater; * D evelop initial understanding of client-consultant relationship and factors that affect new and repeat business. Qualifications: * Education: BS in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Geologic Engineering; * 1-5 years experience in environmental consulting or related field; * Familiarity with preparing and reading P&ID drawings; * Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with soil vapor extraction (SVE), air sparge (AS), electrical resistive heating (ERH), and/or groundwater extraction and treatment required; * Understanding of in-situ biological treatment, chemical oxidation (ISCO), enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD), and/or natural attenuation (NA) a plus, but not required; * Must have excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills; * Able to work well both independently and in a team setting; * Willing to work flexible hours and be available for travel on an on-call basis; and, * EIT or PE license not required, but desire to obtain license is a plus.
