Description

This individual will primarily focus on the extensive analysis of our promotional efforts, track the efficacy of our monthly newspaper circulars and provide reporting to upper management that measures their success. Analysis of the circulars will be completed at a total store, regional and product level. Overarching trends in the data in terms of product, placement and pricing will be analyzed in order to garner recommendations for future promotions, with the end goal of continual improvement in circular performance. The findings and learnings from the analyses will be presented monthly to the Ace buying and marketing staffs. This individual also will play a critical role in developing our promotional strategy as part of our annual planning process, and support other analytic projects in the department.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Finance, or related discipline, with advanced studies preferred

3-5 years of relevant experience with analytics, promotional effectiveness, and data mining

Strong analytical skills

Mastery of data mining and query tools (including Access, Data Warehouse tools, etc.). Experience with SPSS is beneficial, but not required.

PC literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Strong level of curiosity, creativity, strategic thinking

Proven track record of successful multi-tasking, prioritization, organization and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent communication, presentation skills and persuasiveness that allows this individual to substantiate the findings and secure buy-in for go-forward strategies

Self-starter, strong drive, highly motivated to make change and bring about fact based decisions
