Job Summary
Applied Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for an organized and detailed-oriented Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will assist in processing the company s US and Canadian transactions while following established policies and procedures. Utilizing your previous accounting experience, you will ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions related to AP/AR, cash management, and expense reporting. You will also be relied upon to prepare daily cash deposits, maintain records of cash activities, and respond to inquiries from external clients and vendors in a friendly and efficient manner.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Run checks, sort and file supporting documentation
* Process expense reimbursement requests
* Assist in periodic audits of financial records by completing assigned schedules and projects
* File and maintain accounting records
Requirements:
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
* 1-3 years of prior clerical accounting experience within accounts payable/receivable
* Working knowledge of basic accounting terminology and procedures
* Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and automated accounting systems
* Strong keyboarding, PC, and calculator skills
